Role: Principal Embedded Software Engineer / Team Lead
Salary: £60,000 + bonus + excellent benefits
Remote Flexibility: 2/3 days per week
Role Synopsis
Embedded Team Leader for safety critical projects. Leading and project managing the team developing a safety critical Real Time Operating System. Interacting with customers, defining technical specifications and agreeing process / certification plans. Planning and supporting audits and certification activities. Managing the growth of the Team, and increasing its capability.
The role will be based in our Bristol office.

Key Skills Required
Excellent understanding of software development within a safety critical development environment
Requirements / configuration management
C and Assembler
Embedded Systems Design
Team Leadership
Be commercially aware; cost control; contract profitability
Project management experience
Desirable Skills
Real Time Operating Systems, ideally experience in FreeRTOS
• Safety Software Development IEC 61508, DO178 B/C, FDA 510(k) submissions
• Embedded software security
• MIPS and Power Architectures
• Multicore devices
• Networking and WIFI
• Low level embedded engineering experience – ie working at processor level – Cortex M3, M4, A7 • TCP/IP stack
